Steve + Bryn met in a technical writing class. And I’m sure they laughed their way through it, because the day of their wedding was full of laughter. Steve + Bryn have a true connection and I’m convinced- the ability to know what each other is thinking without saying anything. Thank you guys for letting FAL be a part of your big day, and congratulations!

Ryli is all about the details and she knows what she wants!  Spending just an hour with her and Jase at our initial meetup I could tell she was on a mission to make her wedding day perfect.  Their wedding reflected her commitment to perfection and it was nothing less than stunning; classic tradition with a modern flair.  Congratulations to Ryli and Jase!

Emily and I must have exchanged 20 emails before we finally met up to discuss her and Bryce’s wedding.  She struck me as being extremely organized and on a mission to make her wedding day as perfect as possible.  So when when we finally met in person to talk about making their film it was surprising to find out that she was almost as laid back as Bryce.  As I got to know them and their big furry dog Henry, it became clear that this would be one of the most pleasant weddings I would shoot all year.  They wanted a wedding that reflected their personalities.  Nothing to rawkus or hyped up, just a beautiful wedding in downtown Denver with their family and friends.  And on their wedding day, as we all gathered on the roof of the Wynkoop Lofts outside Union Station to watch Emily and Bryce exchange vows, I couldn’t help but think that they had got exactly what they hoped for.  To Emily and Bryce: may you always get what you want out of life and continue to find happiness in the simple things.

What can I say about Marcos + Vanessa, other than that they were one of my favorite couples to work with this year! I actually didn’t have privilege of meeting them until their wedding day, since they were deep in planning many other facets of their big day. It can be a little awkward when you can’t meet a couple beforehand, but M & V were so humble, laid back, and totally trusted me to make a great film. Through the editing process, I learned that Vanessa is kind-hearted and values her friends and family as much as herself. Marcos is willing to do anything for a laugh. And even though he is described as “accident-prone” he’s surprisingly graceful on the dance floor.

Thank you Marcos + Vanessa for trusting FAL to document your wedding day.  Congratulations!

One might say that Nate + Allison took the scenic route to their wedding day.  And though it may not seem like it, they had to spend a lot of time apart before they could finally be together.  It seems life has a way of taking us on journeys we aren’t expecting.  These two know first hand that sometimes the hardest part of finding our way to our destiny isn’t figuring out what it is, but rather who we will experience it with- even though Nate seemed to have a good idea from the start.

When Allison + Nate first approached Films About Love about making a wedding film, they made it clear that they believed in the vision that we would have for their film.  Luckily for us, that’s our favorite kind of couple!  They were totally willing to dive into the process headfirst, without second-guessing themselves or us.  This film is the result.

We had a fantastic time documenting Nate + Allison’s Nebraska wedding.  In fact, my good friend AJ and I were able to bond quite a bit during our road trip. We even saw some of the sites, tasted the local cuisine, and found out that high school football is a pretty big deal out in the cornfield state.  All in all, we are so happy that we were able to experience Nebraska, and with such a cool couple.

To Nate + Allison: thank you so much for allowing us to be apart of your momentous occasion!

We were lucky to have been able to be part of such a beautiful ceremony in Vail, CO! Sherry + Todd tied the knot in front of family and friends before hitting the dance floor and partying late into the night underneath the stars.

I met up with Steve + Jenna at the Dazbog at 17th and Downing in Denver to discuss this wedding film. They were so chill and laid back that it actually caught me off guard! I deal with a lot of nervous couples who just want their wedding to be perfect (and understandably so). But Steve + Jenna were so calm and relaxed that it made me feel like I was among friends. I found out later that that’s just who they are. Two fun-loving people who make other people their friends. The turnout for this wedding was incredible- the most I’ve seen for a young couple. And my gut tells me it’s because they treat everyone like friends. So for that reason (not just because it’s my job) I’m proud to present this video to Steve + Jenna. Thank you both for allowing me and FAL to be a part of your big day. ‘Preciate ya!
